In 2009, at the age of 24, Carminho released her first album Fado. The review commended her highly and success grew fast. Now it is time to listen and confirm this great Fado revelation.

“For many years, there were many people that considered me the fado’s «great expectation». To all of them-who have always had good words for me-thank you heart. But this stamp (IA call it that burden …) fell on my shoulders as a huge responsibility. And that’s why I only released my first album now. So far I had not yet been able to defend a whole album. […] And of course my first album is called Fado. It could not be called - and I say this humbly - anything else, for a matter of respect concerning my roots, fado and myself. I am this album. This is my past, my present and perhaps a (possible) path towards future. The time to share my Fado, for the first time, has come, in a very special concert hall. The performance at the CCB Main Auditorium is one of the major challenges of my short career.”
