IV Iberian Mask Parade

The streets of Lisboa’s Baixa area will be the stage for the “4th Grand Iberian Mask Parade”.

On May 16, from 4.30pm, around 600 participants from 30 groups in the Iberian Peninsula (Galiza, Castela & León, Caceres, Cantabria, Asturias, North and Central Portugal) and this year from Italy also, will join to create the biggest theme parade in Europe.

Once again it promises to enthral spectators with features and rituals linked with masks, rarely seen outside their original context, where creativity, originality and entertainment will not only impress but create unique memories for all those watching.

The parade will start at Praça do Município, along Rua Augusta and ends at Praça do Rossio.
The parade’s entertainment carries on from May 15 to 17, including a great Lisboa Festivities Opening Musical Show.

During this period Praça do Rossio will host an Iberian Regions Show with musical events, fireworks, handicrafts, artisans, workshops and many other surprises.
