In August, Lisboa becomes the Capital of Jazz. The biggest names from this musical genre participate in the various venues of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation offering their audience moments of pure magic and improvisation.

The 2010 calendar for this festival is dedicated exclusively to modern jazz, with all its musical diversity, mixing European Jazz in a dialogue with original US Jazz. Celebrating its 27th anniversary the jazz concert cycle at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation has become a leading venue on the international jazz scene.

August 6 to 15, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Avenida de Berna (metro station: Praça de Espanha). Tickets 10 to 20 euros. Conferences and documentaries with free entry.
