Joana Vasconcelos
With a career that began in the 1990s, Joana Vasconcelos has become the most important Portuguese artist of her generation. Mixing tradition with modernity, identity and history, the artist interprets the modern world through a singular appropriation of the mentality, images and objects of the consumer society.
The exhibit entitled “Sem Rede” for the first time brings together a significant number of her works from the last 15 years, creating an extensive vision of the universe of Joana Vasconcelos.
Until May 18, everyday, 10am-7pm, Saturday until 10pm, Berardo Collection Museum, Praça do Império (Jerónimos/Belém).
Free entry.
