MONSTRA 2010 | Lisboa Animation Festival

Lisboa MONSTRA | Animation Festival comemorates its 10th anniversary dedicated to the very best Portuguese and international animation. In this celebrative mood, MONSTRA will feature a daily film screening of all the countries that have participated in this festival during the last ten years.

Today Portuguese animation is seen in Europe and the rest of the world as one of the richest and most creative. At the same time Monstra also dedicates every year an area for the kids: MONSTRINHA!

This features special sessions for children from 3 to 6, 7 to 12 and 13+. Parralel to the festival, the Marionette Museum presents an exhibit of the stage sets, drawings and props of the animation “Desassossego”, by Lorenzo Degl’Innocenti.

March 11 to 21, 2010, S. Jorge Cinema, Avenida de Liberdade (metro station: Avenida), sessions also at Meridional Theatre, D. Dinis School, National da Etnology Museum, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Cinema City Alvalade. Marionette Museum exhibit from Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 1pm, 2pm to 6pm, until March 18, with free entry.
