We live in a country full of beautiful landscapes. Unfortunately, everyday we see them invaded by garbage illegally deposited there.
Based on the description of a project developed in Estonia in 2008, a group of friends decided to “put their shoulders to the wheel” and propose “Come clean the Portuguese forest in a single day”. In a few days, a civic movement now counting tenths of thousands of volunteers was on its way.
Presently many people believe it is possible. The goal is to join the greatest possible number of volunteers and partners, so that altogether we are able, on the 20 of March 2010, to do something special for ourselves, for Portugal, for the planet, and for the future of our children.
Much is still to do, so any aid is welcome!
Want to help as a volunteer? You just have to access the project internet site, www.limparportugal.org, where you can find all the documentation about how to do it.
Project Cleaning Portugal is also opened to partnerships with institutions and companies, public or private, which, by providing means (human and/or materials, with the exception of money) are interested on giving their support to the movement.
On the 20 of March 2010, during one day, we are going to make part of the solution, instead of making part of the problem.
“Clean Portugal? We are going to do that! What about you? Are you going to stay home?”
