This spring, Lisbon’s parks and gardens will open their doors for the Open Gardens festival.

Jardins Abertos began with the simple, focussed aim of bringing Nature and the city closer together.
Lisbon's gardens are places that can encourage learning and, through this relationship, just like a forest we have grown and become known for opening the gates of the city's most beautiful gardens, revealing their flowers, trees and gardeners.

Promoted by professionals in botanicals, sustainability and culture, this event seeks to increase public awareness of the need to preserve green spaces while also teaching them about nature and the urban environment.

Launched to great acclaim in 2017, the following editions saw the event expand with more gardens and parks getting involved and more activities organised.

This spring, the festival opens the gates to Lisbon’s gardens and parks on consecutive weekends, with physical and virtual activities.
