[ August/September ] The IndieLisboa festival offers more than 250 films for us to discover over 12 days ... a celebration of independent cinema!

From 21st August to 6th September, Cinema de São Jorge, Avenida da Liberdade (metro: Avenida); Culturgest, Rua Arco do Cego (metro: Campo Pequeno); Cinema Ideal, Rua do Loreto (metro: Baixa-Chiado); Cinemateca Portuguesa, Rua Barata Salgueiro (metro: Avenida). 

The international film festival is back to celebrate the seventh art. With 11 features and 4 shorts and more focus on individual stories, IndieMusic, the section that links cinema and music, features global and national punk icons who have reinvented themselves and others who reveal themselves.

The Silvestre section, which features new cinematographic languages, offers almost 30 feature films.

The highlights are Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn by Radu Jude, Atarrabi & Mikelats by Eugène Green and the world premiere of Pryscila Bettim and Renato Coelho’s fable, A Cidade dos Abismos.

The highlights in the short-film competition are Ella i Jo by Jaume Claret Muxart, Easter Eggs by Nicolas Keppens and the world premiere of Transportation Procedures For Lovers by the young director Helena Estrela.
