MOTELx - Lisbon International Horror Film Festival'22

MOTELx - Lisbon International Horror Film Festival is an event for fraternizing and discovery, set-up for all those that are permanently looking for new auteurs, new films, new looks into the genre, and new experiences.

In this 16th edition, MOTELX goes on a geographic and time travel through the best horror cinematography – with a big highlight on national production – and its crossing with other artistic expressions.

The Lisboa International Horror Film Festival takes place at Cinema São Jorge, but this year it spreads to other venues in the city, such as: Teatro São Luiz, Convento São Pedro de Alcântara and Museu de Lisboa – Palácio Pimenta.

'Final Cut', by French director Michel Hazanavicius; and 'Dark Glasses', the most recent giallo by horror master Dario Argento, are two of the most awaited premieres.

Another highlight is the presentation of the book 'MOTELX's Lost Room – The Films of Portuguese Horror (1911-2006)', an unprecedented archive about the unknown Portuguese horror cinematography.
