One of the most sophisticated restaurants in town , with an international menu in an industrial / futuristic environment .
Kais restaurant born from the recovery of an old warehouse on the Tagus border, where, late in the nineteenth century, was generated power to the trams that still roam the streets of Lisbon. The design and interior decoration has the unmistakable signature of Maria José Salavisa, who bet on maintaining and respecting the industrial appearance of the season. The reflection of this work and reflects the thinking of the architect Otto Wagner: "The structure of a building and the material it used to be visible", for this reason remain in view all the elements of iron and details of the old workshop structure. The ancient olive trees are a historical evocation of the past and a symbol of happiness; the entrance, the water that flows into a lake suggests the connection to the sea and the deed of discovery; the large windows leave open the same stars that guided these great navigators in their glorious trips. The industrial-chic ambiance is created by furniture inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and the play of lights and candles transformed the huge room in a warm and intimate atmosphere. In the case of a restaurant, it would never be a work of art if it does not offer a rich and elaborate cuisine, with services also the highest level. Hence the bet on the best professionals with the talent and know the welcome and provide you with moments of rare pleasure.
