St. Pedro’s Church

This 16th Century church is lined with 18th Century Baroque tile panels depicting the life of St. Peter.

St. Pedro’s, the parish church of Palmela, was built in the 16th Century. Its three naves are flanked by Tuscan columns and the inside of the church is lined with 18th Century Baroque tile panels depicting scenes from the life of St. Peter. The church also houses a number of important sculptures and 18th Century paintings.
