Constelações III: a choreography of minimal gestures

This project, which involves more than 40 artists, aims to work on the Berardo Collection as a horizontal territory for curatorial research.

In his 1928 book, “The Origin Of German Tragic Drama”, Walter Benjamin suggests that ideas are to objects as constellations are to the stars.

That is to say: neither concept effectively exists in the world.

Starting from the supposition that the work of art is a metaphor for the constellation, the goal of this project, which involves more than 40 artists, is to work on the Berardo Collection as a horizontal territory for curatorial research.

Supported by the philosophical concept of the constellation, it is being developed across various sections of the museum, which is being transformed into a place of experimentation.

Until 31st January 2021, every day, from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
