After its overwhelming success at the Grandes del Gospel festival, The Streets of New Orleans is back in Europe to celebrate the vibrant soul of a city where music is the air we breathe — in churches, on street corners, in streets named after songs.

With the captivating voice of Bridget Bazile, one of the great divas of contemporary gospel — and the infectious talent of the New Orleans Gospel Choir, this show delves into the roots of African-American tradition with spirituality, rhythm and emotion.

A concert that recreates the great gospel hymns, evokes the spirit of the Jazz Funeral, solemn on the way there, jubilant on the way back, and pays tribute to the names that shaped the musical identity of New Orleans: Louis Armstrong, Mahalia Jackson, Fats Domino.

From When the Saints Go Marching In to the timeless What a Wonderful World, via breathtaking spirituals, The Streets of New Orleans is much more than music: it is a collective ritual of celebration, beauty and freedom.
