Há Fado no Cais - Fábia Rebordão
She is considered one of the leading voices of the new wave of fado singers.
She was born in Lisboa in 1985 and at 15 fell in love with fado on hearing the the voice of Amália Rodrigues, actually her cousin, after which she began to sing professionally in the typical fado houses of Alfama, particularly Taverna do Embuçado and Clube de Fado, among others. While fado is the great driving force behind her music, her influences are diverse and range from soul to Bossa nova, morna, blues and jazz. 14th July at 9 pm, Small Auditorium, Centro Cultural de Belém, Praça do Império.
