Open House Lisboa 2017 23rd and 24th of September One of the highlights of the cultural rentrée is Open House Lisboa, that will happen on the 23rd and 24th of September, and as always organized by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale.

The doors will be open to the best architecture in town on a weekend of guided tours to the most incredible buildings in Lisbon, free and with no booking required. Annually, each edition proposes a new and careful selection of buildings that lets us see emblematic works in the city, their stories and authors.

OH Lisboa, this year curated by Catarina and Rita Almada Negreiros, unveils about 70 spaces, from palaces to private homes, from museums to studios. Architects Catarina and Rita Almada Negreiros, have made an “Open Map”, that presents itself as a Lisbon self-portrait that shows, besides iconic buildings, new spaces that are normally closed to the public.

This “two-day map”, shows a city going through a profound transformation, that is looking to reinvent itself in different ways: by recovering and discovering new uses, by creating new structures that answer to the city’s growing demands, by looking for other centres, and by responding to the immense touristic demand.
