Portuguese Symphony Orchestra - Beethoven
Considered to be one of the most important Russian pianists of his generation.
Considered to be one of the most important Russian pianists of his generation, Denis Kozhukhin will interpret Beethoven’s wonderful Piano Concerto No. 4 in what is sure to be a poignant performance. This will be followed by Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8. The profits from a series of professional tours of the United Kingdom enabled Dvořák to realise his dream of buying an estate in Vyoská where he spent the summer months with his family, feeling “far from the world” and able to “appreciate the beauties of divine nature”. Symphony No. 8 is a true reflection of this peaceful and tranquil environment. 14th January, at 5 pm, Centro Cultural de Belém Main Auditorium, Praça do Império (tram: 15). Tickets: from 5 to 20 euros.
