BoCA - Biennial of Contemporary Arts
[ 15-03-2019 | 30-04-2019 ] BoCA is back and will reinforce its transversal nature through an extensive programme involving a dialogue between the visual, performing, scientific and musical arts.
In this second edition theatres, museums, galleries, nightclubs and other public spaces will host a number of projects, most of which for the first time nationally and internationally.
The Carpintarias de São Lázaro welcomes the “Spirit House” installation by artist Marina Abramovic; the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado presents Ryan Trecartin’s and Lizzie Fitch’s “Temple Time” exhibition; and the Museu Nacional de Arte Antigo opens its doors to William Forsythe’s installation, “Alignigung 2”, and “The Only Possible City” by Meg Stuart.
The programme is much bigger than just this... and is also on at the Cinema Ideal, MAAT, Convento de São Pedro de Alcântara and the Teatro da Trindade.
From 15th March to 30th April, various venues across the city.
