The ARTE/ZDF channel will bring together eight countries and ten orchestras, between 2 pm and 10 pm, moving from city to city and stopping in Lisbon for the live broadcast, shown simultaneously on RTP2, of the concert performed by the Gulbenkian Orchestra in Belém, under conductor Hannu Lintu and featuring pianist Bruce Liu.

In addition to Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23, the programme will include Sibelius’s Finlandia, Op. 26, Luís de Freitas Branco’s Scherzo fantastique and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio espagnol, Op. 34.
