2022 UN Ocean Conference | Conferência dos Oceanos

The conference is co-organized by the governments of Portugal and Kenya, with the theme “Scaling up action on the oceans based on science and innovation for the implementation of Goal 14: Research, Partnerships and Solutions”.

In parallel with the Conference, as part of an initiative called “ONE SUSTAINABLE OCEAN” – A Sustainable Ocean, organized by six institutions and led by CML – a wide range of events will take place, two of which are considered anchors, one under the Pala of the Pavilhão de Portugal and the other at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento.

The objective of this initiative is to attract a diverse audience, from the business, scientific, academic, NGOs, participants of the UN International Ocean Conference, the general population of the city, region and country.

It is thus intended to organize and aggregate in different spaces of the city a wide range of parallel events capable of complementing each other and establishing a connection with the affirmation of the country, Lisboa and its region, and its ability to promote the defense and preservation of the Ocean and seas, in energizing and strengthening the blue economy and its ecosystem.
