Under the artistic direction of Solange Melo, this year’s edition presents the programme “Marcelino Sambé & Guests”, starring Marcelino Sambé, principal dancer with the Royal Ballet in London and one of the most prominent figures in international dance of his generation. The performance celebrates his artistic journey, bringing together guest dancers from the Royal Ballet and young talents on stage, in a dialogue between excellence, renewal and the future.

More than just a performance, this year’s Bailado em Seteais establishes itself as a meeting place for different generations, featuring an open call aimed at young female dancers, who will have the opportunity to share the stage with artists of recognised international standing in a professional performance setting. 

Straddling memory and the future, Bailado em Seteais 2026 reaffirms itself as a unique convergence of heritage, landscape and artistic creation, reinforcing the central role of culture in the region’s identity.
