With regular exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, Guida Fonseca is a recognised and respected name in contemporary tapestry, with a creative journey that began in 1988.
For many reasons, she describes textiles as her home.
“I see tapestry and weaving”, she says, “as two hands through which different gestures and intentions flow”.
Between threads and time, weaving here is a primal rhythm, a gesture with a purpose and direction – an attempt to bring order to chaos and reconnect everything.
