An exhibition-installation that reflects and highlights the influence of Japanese aesthetics on the work of the Portuguese artist Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro (1846-1905).
Bordalo Pinheiro was a remarkable caricaturist, ceramic sculptor and founder of the Fábrica de Faianças in Caldas da Rainha, among other creative pursuits.
Alongside two ceramic pieces, the exhibition features graphic works, many originally published in newspapers and almanacs, offering a clear example of his unique artistic legacy.
