Dinosaurs – The Return of the Giants
On an adventurous journey through the Mesozoic Era, we will meet not only many of the animals that first arrived in Portugal millions of years ago, but also some of the most charismatic dinosaurs of all time.
On an adventurous journey through the Mesozoic Era, we will meet not only many of the animals that first arrived in Portugal millions of years ago, but also some of the most charismatic dinosaurs of all time, like Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops.
Visitors are welcome to explore the world of paleontology and travel through its different stations, from the field tent to the laboratory, armed with paintbrushes and spades. Children and adults interested in exploration will take part in an excavation, learn about the Cretaceous period's dominant noises, create a scientific depiction of a dinosaur, and reassemble its skeleton.
Researcher Galopim de Carvalho, known as the "Father of Dinosaurs", and palaeontologist Octávio Mateus were two of the scientific advisors for the show.

The exhibition "Dinosaurs – The Return of the Giants" can be visited at the Pavilion of Knowledge until September 2023.
