Ecos Reais

-

‘Ecos Reais’ (Royal Echoes) is born from the dialogue between what was and what still can be. Here, artists were challenged to reinterpret this heritage, creating works that intertwine tradition and contemporaneity.

Inspired by the collection of the Royal Treasury Museum, artists trained at the Lisbon Jewellery Centre were challenged to reinterpret this heritage, creating works that intertwine tradition and contemporaneity.

The jewels carry echoes of the past. Each piece, a reflection of time, holds memories of kings and queens, celebrations and secrets.

In the heart of the Ajuda National Palace, where diamonds and crowns, necklaces and bracelets tell silent stories, this exhibition gives voice to the jewels. More than precious objects, each creation presented here is an invitation to reflection.

By revisiting the memory of the original pieces, the artists have built bridges between the splendour of the past and the infinite possibilities of the present. Exploring these jewels was an act of research, introspection and discovery. Each line, each material chosen, carries a meaning, an intention.

Thus, ‘Ecos Reais’ is not just a competition, a jewellery exhibition, but an open dialogue, a space where the visitor's gaze completes the narrative.
As you walk through this room, don't just see shapes and sparkles. Listen. Allow yourself to hear the stories these pieces want to tell.
