The exhibition ‘Engaging Manoeuvres’, on view at the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, brings together a new generation of Portuguese architects, aged between 35 and 40, around a shared exercise: designing a house for the now.
In a context shaped by environmental instability, social transformation and material scarcity, the exhibition approaches the house as a critical lens for observing how architecture is designed today and, above all, from which values we choose to design.
Each studio presents a speculative project through common elements, such as plans, sections, elevations, models and a written statement, that allow different approaches to contemporary dwelling to be read side by side. Rather than offering solutions, the exhibition reveals processes, criteria and values, making visible the choices that inform architectural practice in Portugal today.
Until 2 March, at the Triennale Cultural Centre.
