Esta Noite Grita-se returns in 2026 for its 10th season, celebrating a decade of interpreted readings of theatrical texts. From October 9 to December 4, Lisbon and Lagos host performances celebrating the power of the spoken word and dramatic writing, bringing

together contemporary playwriting, new voices and texts that have marked the festival’s history. The programme travels through libraries and cultural spaces, with works ranging from Karen Hartman’s technological dystopia New Golden Age to Samotrácias, based on Nicole Caligaris’

Les Samothraces, selected by guest company Mákina de Cena, and Pau Miró’s Vitória.

The 10th anniversary season also marks a new partnership with São Luiz Teatro Municipal, which hosts Best Of, the premiere reading of the winning play of the 2026 New Playwriting Prize by Women Authors, and a photography exhibition.
