[ May ] Marionettes and animated forms from all over the world descend on the capital.
FIMFA is celebrating 25 years as a festival with a programme that occupies the São Luiz Teatro Municipal, LU.CA - Teatro Luís de Camões, Teatro Variedades, Museu de Lisboa - Palácio Pimenta, Teatro Romano, Teatro do Bairro, Teatro Taborda, Casa do Comum, Biblioteca de Marvila and Cinemateca Portuguesa.
As a space for meeting and innovation in the world of animated forms, it hosts shows by various companies from around the world.
This year’s highlights include A Dollhouse, with human-sized puppets; La Frittata, which asks who came first: the chicken or the egg; a reinterpretation of The Rite of Spring, and The Nutcracker, among many others.
