Johann Strauss II's best-known works will be played to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Austrian composer.
For their first performance in Portugal, the Strauss Orchestra, led by the Austrian conductor Alfred Eschwé and comprising 55 musicians, who use the same instruments and training that enchanted the halls of the European nobility for almost two centuries, will take the stage to delight the public with a unique performance, full of waltzes, polkas and operettas.
