The 19th edition of MOTELX will descend upon Cinema São Jorge – Lisbon's official home of horror.
It’s marked by the creation of the Noémia Delgado Award for Outstanding Women in Horror, to be presented to Gale Anne Hurd, guest of honor and legendary producer (“Terminator”, “Aliens”).
There is a strong presence of national horror with three features premiering, a “Witches' Ball” in our Lost Room and the new section Suite 13 dedicated to international B movies.
In SectionX, we have a date with Norbert Pfaffenbichler's trilogy “2551,” an avant-garde and marginal cinematic journey that caused a sensation on the European festival circuit.
The program opens with “The Long Walk,” the highly anticipated adaptation of Stephen King's novel, and ends on a high note with “The Home,” from the creator of “The Purge” franchise.
The lineup is packed with heavyweights such as Marion Cotillard, Selton Mello, Rosamund Pike, John Malkovich, and Mark Hamill, alongside rising stars such as Jenny Ortega, Ayo Edebiri, and Cooper Hoffman.
