The exhibition, dedicated to the work of Nadir Afonso, one of the greatest names in 20th-century Portuguese painting, brings together 94 original works, including paintings, drawings and studies, among them seven large canvases created in the last years of the artist’s life.
With the City as its central theme, the exhibition, curated by Alexandra Silvano, explores the main periods of Nadir Afonso’s career, revealing a body of work marked by geometric rigor, aesthetic reflection and a constant search for order and balance.
