WOMEX 2022

This event, is one of the most relevant music support and development projects in the global music scene, it is exclusively dedicated to world, global, roots,
folk, ethnic, traditional, local and diaspora music, inclusive of all music genres, cultures, regions, gender, styles, performance tradition, and more.

The event will gather in Lisboa the global music community from all the continents.

Remarkable numbers
In all, more than 2500 professionals are expected, coming from all continents.
There will be 60 shows involving 300 musicians of fifty nationalities, around 520 publishers and distributors, more than 4 hundreds of governmental and educational institutions, among others, about 8 hundreds of agents, more than 610 managers and 300 producers, around 1250 companies from more than 50 countries.

These numbers clearly underline the international dimension of this event!
In this edition of Womex 2022 - Lisbon, the 8th Womex Club Summit will also take place, around 2 dozen conference sessions will take place involving 100 speakers from 30 countries, around 20 network meetings and meetings with 11 specialized mentors.

In the film cycle, 16 screenings are scheduled, including three premieres and 1 special tribute.

All these activities will be closely followed by around 250 journalists from all over the world representing more than 400 media from 90 countries, a fact that in itself guarantees the international projection of the event and, of course, the city of Lisbon, which hosts it.
