Between 4 and 6 September, Oeiras Council is organising another edition of the Nautical Festival at Oeiras Marina, with a programme dedicated to the ocean’s potential in its economic, technological, environmental, scientific, sporting, tourist and cultural dimensions.

Over the course of three days, the programme includes boat tours, rescue drills, family activities and initiatives linked to maritime culture and traditions. The Bugio Conference – ‘The Great Little Seas’ – brings together experts and representatives from various fields to discuss topics such as maritime innovation and technology, sustainability, traditional sailing, training in shipbuilding and the future of water sports.

Gastronomy is also part of the programme, with the restaurants at Oeiras Marina serving the traditional ‘Caldeirada de Peixe à Marquês’ fish stew throughout the three days.

Set against the backdrop of the Tagus and Oeiras Marina, the Nautical Festival celebrates the ocean and its strategic role in Portugal’s development.
