Army Spring Concert 2026 | at Aula Magna of the University of Lisbon, on 8 May at 9 pm.

The event is both cultural and charitable in nature, with the aim of bringing the Army closer to civil society.

The concert will be performed by the Army Symphonic Band, conducted by Maestro Renato Tomás, with the participation of the Lisboa Cantat Symphonic Choir (Maestro Jorge Alves) and the following soloists:
• Bárbara Barradas (soprano)
• João Terleira (tenor)
• Tiago Amado Gomes (baritone)

The event will be presented by Júlio Isidro.
The programme features Carmina Burana, exploring themes such as destiny and the human condition.
The event is a charity initiative, with donations going to the Vida e Paz Community (https://donativos.cvidaepaz.pt), and admission is free upon registration at (
https://eventos.exercito.pt/ConcertoPrimavera). The concert programme is divided into two parts:

• First part: works of a military and symbolic nature, centred on honour, unity and team spirit.
• Second part: a performance of Carmina Burana, focusing on the theme of destiny and the fragility of life.

The concert concludes with the Army March and the National Anthem, featuring
military choirs.

Overall, the programme combines military tradition with a great choral work, creating a
powerful and moving finale.
