This exhibition covers the public life of Francisco Sá Carneiro, from his origins to his death, divided into three main periods and documentary sections: before 25 April, from the revolutionary period to the consolidation of the democratic regime, and finally, the political legacy of the founder of the PPD.

The exhibition ‘Francisco Sá Carneiro and the Construction of Portuguese Democracy’ addresses the public life of Francisco Sá Carneiro, from his origins to his death, establishing itself in three major temporal and documentary centres: before 25 April, from the revolutionary period to the consolidation of the democratic regime, and finally, the political legacy of the founder of the PPD.  

With this chronological narrative, the exhibition presents unpublished documents belonging to the Ephemera Archive. These are mostly manuscripts, correspondence, meeting notes, personal diaries, photocopies, books, among others. Original iconographic materials, posters, drawings, stickers, objects and flags will also be on display.

The exhibition ‘Francisco Sá Carneiro and the Construction of Portuguese Democracy’, organised by the Ephemera Cultural Association, can be seen in Pavilion E of ‘Lisboa Social Mitra’ until 31 January, with free admission.
The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 2 pm to 6 pm, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10 am to 6 pm.
