The exhibition “Meu Matalote e Amigo Luís de Camões” (My Comrade and Friend Luís de Camões), which marks the 500th anniversary of the poet through a dialogue between his poetry and some works of art, is on display at the Pavilion of Portugal.

The exhibition route is inspired by the narrative of “Os Lusíadas” (The Lusiads), evoking characters such as Venus, Bacchus, Adamastor and the Old Man of Restelo, as well as themes like pleasure, travelling and the tension between reason and destiny.
More than illustrating, the exhibition invites imagination and the discovery of new interpretations.

The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and offers guided tours on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free admission upon registration.
There is also a parallel programme in collaboration with the Museums and Monuments of Portugal.
