Lisbon hosts the premiere of “O Algoritmo”, a groundbreaking immersive theatre experience that transforms the invisible logic of digital algorithms into a living, relational and deeply human system. With dramaturgy by Miguel Thiré and Michel Simeão, the performance offers a relational and participatory investigation into the algorithmic systems that shape our behaviour, attention and relationships.

Lasting 90 minutes, “O Algoritmo” starts from a central question: how do the algorithms that manipulate us work, and how can this logic be reversed on stage? Rather than merely representing the phenomenon, the project invites the audience to experience it, turning spectators into an active part of a human machine - a living system of relationships that shifts between control and surrender.

The cast - João Maria Spínola, Joana Bravo Belchior and Priscilla Squeff - guides delicate relational dynamics based on listening, sharing and building connection, without forced participation. What begins as manipulation becomes empathy, and isolation gives way to encounter.

The performance takes place at the Beato Innovation District, one of Lisbon’s most dynamic cultural hubs, where innovation, technology, creativity and culture intersect in a space dedicated to experimentation and contemporary creation.
