Atlantic Sound Encounters

The Atlantic Sound Encounters are a series of recitals in which the work of Azorean composer, Francisco de Lacerda (1869-1934) is the starting point for the creation of new musical pieces.

The inaugural concert celebrates the birthday of Luís Camões, with songs written from the poet’s writings that have been arranged by Filipe Raposo and Sérgio Azevedo Neste.

The concert on the 28th will be performed by the Lisboa Metropolitan Orchestra and will feature a rare performance of a symphonic poem by composer Berta Alves de Sousa.
