Berlinde de Bruyckere

The Belgium artist Berlinde de Bruyckere, who has marked her artistic path with the development of important work in the fields of sculpture and drawing, is exhibiting for the first time in a museum in Portugal a showing specifically designed for the opening of the Contemporary Art Museum of the Centro Cultural de Belém.

It is a work contemplating two performances by Romeu Runa and focusing on the figure of the angel as an intermediary creature to address contemporary issues regarding gender, metamorphosis and meditation.
