Cine Fiesta - Mostra de Cinema Espanhol is an event dedicated to the best of contemporary Spanish cinema, with a programme that combines the biggest blockbusters with auteur works, including activities for children.

Cine Fiesta promotes a cultural encounter, bringing Spanish directors and artists to share experiences with the Portuguese public.

Organised by the ICAA - Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales de España in partnership with the Il Sorpasso Cultural Association, the event has the support of the Spanish Embassy in Portugal and the Instituto Cervantes in Lisbon.

Cine Fiesta returns to Lisbon with a special session celebrating the best of Spanish cinematography and the creative ties between Spain and Portugal. On July 24, on the big screen of Cinema São Jorge, A Quinta, the latest film by director Avelina Prat, will be shown, a Spanish-Portuguese co-production starring Maria de Medeiros and Manolo Solo. A unique opportunity to discover a delicate and intimate work that reflects the richness of the collaboration between the two countries.

Promoted by ICAA – Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales de España and organized by Associação Il Sorpasso, Cine Fiesta has the institutional support of the Spanish Embassy in Portugal and the Instituto Cervantes de Lisboa. The event has the Lisbon City Council, Lisboa Cultura and Cinema São Jorge as partners and is sponsored by CaixaForum+.
