Come celebrate the end of the year with Il Viaggio a Reims, an opera composed by Gioacchino Rossini for the coronation of king Charles X, which took place in 1825 at the Cathedral of Reims, in France.

Brought to you by Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB), Égide – Portuguese Association for the Arts – and the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, the two recitals are held at CCB’s grand auditorium, in Lisbon, on December 29 and 30.

Marked by splendid vocal pyrotechnics, this opera is directed by Pedro Carneiro, involving the participation of 18 soloists, the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra, and a choir of around 40 people.

Staging is by Teresa Simas and the art direction by Nuno Esteves.
