The Eiffel Tower did not yet stand nearby when, in 1867, Johann Strauss Jr. and his orchestra played the instrumental version of the Blue Danube waltz at the Universal Exhibition in Paris before diplomatic corps from around the world.

The success was such that he became the “King of Waltzes”, a true international pop star.

It was a harbinger of the tradition that continues to this day on a global scale – the New Year's Concert.

The elegance of Strauss' timeless melodies continues to convey the energy we need to face new cycles with positive vibrations and a full heart.
