Throughout the month of November, restaurants in the Municipality of Vila Franca de Xira distributed across Alhandra, Alverca, Calhandriz, Castanheira, Póvoa de Santa Iria, São João dos Montes, Sobralinho, Vialonga and Vila Franca de Xira, participate in the gastronomic campaign "Month of Torricado and Country Flavors”, which highlights dishes linked to tradition and history in our territory.

This is the case of Torricado com Bacalhau Assado, rabbit dishes and Canja à Vila-Franquense, with a trademark registered by the City Council.

In addition to a comforting meal as autumn calls for, the Municipality invites you to combine some leisure options, many of which have special discounts through the nine partners in this campaign, during the month of November and upon presentation of an invoice from one of the participating restaurants.

Horse riding lessons, horse tours, bird watching visits to the Tagus Estuary, accommodation, wine, among others, are some of the experiences we offer.
