‘O Rapto de Europa (# 2)’ is a performance and a sound installation.
A piece which continues the collaboration between Ricardo Jacinto and Arkadi Zaides.
This joint work materializes in an instrumental scenography that evokes geopolitical questions through the concept of ‘borders’.
It is composed of two sculptural bodies that replicate the contour of Greece’s and Turkey’s coasts, where the crossing of refugees on boats was most intense.
The artist activates the device through a performance, followed by a number of screaming feedback resonances that result from the manipulated contact between the two structures.
