The TRY BETTER, FAIL BETTER programme returns in 2026 with four projects spanning distinct areas of contemporary creation — from clowning to physical theatre, from autofiction to the dreamlike imagination — united by a shared conviction: error, doubt and fragility are the very stuff of human affirmation and community-building.

Inspired by Samuel Beckett’s words — “Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” — the programme welcomes artists engaged in research who share works still in progress, open to novelty and risk.
