São Miguel D'Alfama

Typical cuisine from north to south of the country, offering its customers a large variety of options. Also, presents daily several female and male voices that dare to continue the tradition of Fado.

When we talk about São Miguel DʻAlfama we are undoubtedly referring to a historic house, opened in 1945 and it is one of the oldest in the Alfama District.

It is inserted in the framework of the old Jewish quarter. Architecturally interesting, when crossing its door we come across a floor of particular importance since it is an ancient Roman pavement, its brick arches in sarapantel (basket handle) also date from that time.

The São Miguel D´Alfama is a family home. Its owner Fátima Moura, who inherited it from her mother, intends one day that her children will assume her patronage, thus turning it into an inter-generational house.

Fátima Moura is also the mentor of this space, harmoniously decorated with characteristic symbolism, associated with the extreme good taste of its owner.

Typical cuisine from north to south of the country is one of the strengths of this house. It therefore presents a varied range of dishes that offers its customers a variety of options.

São Miguel D´Alfama decided to bet on the new generation of fado singers for some time, presenting daily female and male voices that dare to continue the tradition of Fado.

This is why it is a real Portuguese house!
