The idea of bringing transparent kayaks and SUPs came about after watching several videos of this equipment being used in idyllic destinations on the other side of the world. As natives of one of the most idyllic regions in Portugal, there was no doubt in our minds that we had to bring these kayaks and SUPs to Arrábida.

This led to the creation of the SEATRU brand, which has been operating in Arrábida since 2023, offering guided tours in 100% transparent kayaks from May to October. In its first year of activity, it was awarded the Best Experience of 2023 Award by NiT, was mentioned by Jornal Expresso, Sic Noticias, Visão, and received numerous mentions by the Setúbal City Council.

The name SEATRU comes from the combination of Sea + Through, revealing the main characteristic of its material. The symbiosis created by the boats with the unique transparency of our waters thus promotes the quality of the coastal area in terms of tourism, while helping to promote and appeal to social responsibility for the healthy maintenance of the natural and ecological environment that surrounds us.

We have over 10 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, and management, and we want the brand to become the leader in the maritime tourism sector and an example of sustainable tourism in the Arrábida region.
