A festival for everyone that preserves secular culture and disseminates classical music in all its guises, uniting the past and the modern through music and establishing links between people with common interests.
Falling asleep to the sound of the Goldberg Variations, dancing to the rhythm of Bach and exploring a fusion between classical and jazz: this is the festival's proposal, which promises to reinvent the way classical music is experienced and felt.
With a programme consisting of concerts in the theatre, outside and a play for children, the festival takes place in emblematic locations on Avenida da Liberdade - Parque Mayer, Variedades, Capitólio and Cinema São Jorge, and features Johann Sebastian Bach.
One of the most eagerly awaited moments is the concert with Daniel Bernardes, Ricardo Toscano and João Barradas, who will bring jazz arrangements of Bach's compositions to Cinema São Jorge, interspersing contemporary themes with lesser-known works by the man who is considered the father of modern music.
