CAIXA ALFAMA 2026
September 11 & 12 · Lisbon
The world's biggest fado festival returns to Alfama for a special edition honouring Rodrigo.
For two days, Lisbon's most traditional neighbourhood becomes a one-of-a-kind musical journey: ten stages scattered across streets, squares and hidden corners steeped in history and tradition.
On the line-up: Carminho, Em Casa d'Amália ao Vivo by José Gonzalez — featuring Rodrigo, Ricardo Ribeiro and Katia Guerreiro in a special tribute to Rodrigo —, Raquel Tavares, António Pinto Basto, Aldina Duarte, Filipa Cardoso, Gonçalo Salgueiro, Helder Moutinho and many more of fado's greatest names.
A celebration open to the city, the neighbourhood and everyone who wants to experience fado up close — in the voices, the guitars and the soul of Alfama.
Two days, ten stages, one neighbourhood singing as one. From square to square, from voice to voice, fado always comes home.
