The new space, "Experimentation", presents iconic equipment and objects from the last 120 years released from the museum reserves.

Organised into six thematic nuclei, visitors can experience, see and hear how rotary dial telephones, bulky radios from the 1920s, tape recorders, walkmans, walkie-talkies, analogue televisions and the first computers work.

New and updated experience visits organised around six themes are now available for schools and families: writing, telegraphy, telephony, sound and image, and multimedia.

The younger public may not be familiar with some of the equipment on display and will certainly be surprised at how different they are from the technology used today.
