La bohème by Puccini continues to be the opera of youth!
Based on Henri Murger’s Scenes From the Life of Bohemia and premièred in 1896 under the direction of a (very young) Arturo Toscanini, the work is an energetic and poetic portrait of the daily life of a group of young artist friends who live, love and die in nineteenth-century Paris.
Mimi and Rodolfo’s love story is brought to life in Arnaud Bernard’s stylish, physical production with an exciting youthful cast under the baton of Andrea Sanguineti.
